Dear Supporters and Friends,
I hope you all had a wonderful 2016 and are enjoying this holiday season! We missed our Production Notes update for November, but I hope you’ve had a chance to read our notes for October. Here’s a recap of the past month’s progress:

Where we’re at:
As I’d mentioned in our previous post, we’ve reviewed all the photos and videos we’ve collected along with Chuck’s personal archive of over twenty-eight thousand digital photos taken from 2004 – 2010. These photos were very helpful in supplementing stories told in Act II – Chuck’s Adulthood and Career from 2000 – 2010. The rough cut was completed for Act II and we’re currently editing the rough cut for Act III – Chuck’s Death and Legacy.

What’s next:
We’re very close to having the entire film rough cut, so we will soon begin to plan production for our recreations and will gather any additional visual material as needed. We have yet to set a completion date, but I will continue to post monthly production notes here and will share photos of our progress on instagram @WalleyFilms. Read on to learn more about what’s next!

The McNay Art Museum will exhibit the first significant survey of Chuck’s work in the upcoming exhibition Chuck Ramirez: All This and Heaven Too. The exhibition is organized by the McNay’s Chief Curator/Curator of Contemporary Art René Paul Barilleaux and has been tentatively scheduled to run Mid-July through Mid-October. We have been in communication with the McNay over the past year as they’ve prepared for this exhibition. (Read our update on these dates)

The McNay has invited us and we have committed to screening the completed documentary film during the run of this exhibition! We’re very excited to be part of this upcoming exhibition, screening dates TBA. Learn more at
